Dead Fresh Baseball is a new 8U travel program built from a young core developed at Rhodes Jordan Park. We are creating a competitive environment centered on development, accountability, confidence and growing together.

Dead Fresh Baseball grew from local recreational baseball at Rhodes Jordan Park. Co-founders Coach Alex Akers and Coach Zarich Bonner are building DFB around a core group of young players ready for additional instruction, competition and the opportunities a travel schedule can provide. Bonner serves alongside Akers as his right-hand coach in the development and direction of the program.
The goal is bigger than one season. With a predominantly 6- and 7-year-old roster competing at 8U, DFB is building a foundation these athletes can grow with for years.

DFB is being built to operate sustainably, professionally and beyond a single season.
DFB will use professional photography and video to document player growth, tell the team's story, recognize sponsors and build a strong identity around the program. Original team media will be added as the inaugural roster and Spring season come together.

Businesses and community partners can support DFB through a Founding Partnership or by sponsoring a specific team need. Sponsorship helps fund tournament participation, uniforms, equipment, insurance, field and practice expenses, player development resources and the financial stability needed to handle the unexpected.
Founding Partner recognition is unique to the inaugural 2027 season.
